Andy (Hongjia) Yang is a Ph.D. student at the Robinson College of Business, Georgia State University, advised by Professor Arun Rai. His research primarily centers around governance of emerging technologies and its societal impact, with primary focus in labor market impacts.
Before Ph.D., Andy conducted tech policy research in leading think tanks, including the Brookings Institution and the Carter Center; he earned his Bachelor’s (Statistics + Political Science) and Master’s (Business) degrees from the University of Virginia.
He serves as an ad hoc reviewer for leading journals and conferences. He has also served as teaching assistant for multiple math, statistics, and business analytics courses at UVA.
